The Animal Hospital of Signal Mountain is a progressive, fast-paced, multi-doctor hospital serving the Signal Mountain community since 1989. This exclusive practice is located just minutes from downtown Chattanooga in the heart of beautiful Signal Mountain,TN. Our goal is to meet a growing community need by giving working families more flexibility for their pets' care.   • Practices good standard of care and has a passion for GP medicine and overall wellness
  • Is surgical-capable and flexible to perform surgery when needed
  • Believes in proactive health maintenance and can speak confidently about the value of wellness plans and preventive care
  • Thrives as part of a collaborative team and enjoys working alongside and mentoring veterinary technicians — teaching by example and supporting staff growth
  • Is a self-described “people person” who genuinely enjoys client relationships and clear, compassionate communication
  • Can work independently and make sound, confident clinical decisions

Role Expectations

  • Availability ranging from 7 AM to 8 PM on weekdays (2–3 days/week); every other Saturday rotation
  • Ability to work independently and make critical medical decisions
  • Strong communication skills with clients, staff, and fellow veterinarians
  • Provide compassionate, progressive, and evidence-based medical care with an emphasis on client education
  • Proficient in wellness, surgical, radiograph, ultrasound, and diagnostic treatments
  • Openness to mentoring and educating veterinary technicians — a teach-by-example approach to team development

  • Contemporary hospital with mountain architecture, 6 exam rooms, and a large treatment area
  • Modern surgical suite with multiple anesthesia machines and up-to-date monitoring equipment
  • Surgical Laser & Therapeutic Laser
  • Digital radiography & Ultrasound
  • In-house T4 and Phenobarbital level capabilities
  • SNAP testing: Parvo, Giardia, FELV/FIV, feline BNP, CPL, FPL, HWT
  • Well-stocked in-house pharmacy + complete online pharmacy with convenient refill store
  • Avimark practice management software and online booking
