Job Description

Hill Country Animal Hospital and Pet Lodge is hiring a full-time Veterinarian to join our team of experienced doctors and staff! We are located in Austin, Texas and have earned a reputation for providing the highest quality veterinary care in the Westlake area. New grads and associate doctors welcome to apply! $125k+ base, 21%+ production, 20k+ bonuses.


We offer complete wellness care founded on the principle that preventive care is the best means to protect the well-being of your pet while minimizing the lifetime cost of care. This includes routine physical exams, laboratory work, nutritional counseling, specialized care for senior aged pets, appropriate vaccines, lost pet microchip ID, and a variety of other services.


Our hospital is equipped with:

  • Ultrasound
  • Digital radiography
  • In-house lab
  • In-house pharmacy
  • Modern surgical suite


We also have an upcoming renovation to add an additional exam room, expand the treatment area, pharmacy, and surgical suite to accommodate two surgical tables!

We strive to provide our associate veterinarians with an environment in which they are hands-on and able to continually develop their level of skill. NVA Mentorship


We recognize new graduates beginning their career in veterinary medicine come with a unique set of challenges and we strongly believe mentorship lays the foundation for a rich and dynamic career. We are excited to announce that NVA has established the NVA Academy Mentorship Program. We have organized this innovative program to help new and recent veterinary graduates confidently transition into their new practice. Through structured leadership and professional development experiences, we intend to focus on enhancing competencies and behaviors needed to succeed as a veterinarian. This customizable curriculum will include –


  • One-on-one surgical and medical support from our Texas Mentor, Dr. Jodi Long.
  • Suite of wellness programming focusing on stress management and cultivating a balanced approach to your life
  • Cohort of other new graduate ADVMs in Texas with planned social events, team bonding, and engagement, regardless of current clinic worked in

Hill Country Animal Hospital is located in Westlake, just northwest of Austin. Westlake is known for its nationally acclaimed schools, hilltop views of the city, and high school sports championships.
