Small Animal Associate Veterinarian


Lynchburg, Va: Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Peaks View Animal Hospital in Lynchburg, Virginia is currently looking to hire a part or full time associate veterinarian. A progressive, multi-doctor small animal practice, Peaks View Animal Hospital has a reputation for providing high quality medical and surgical veterinary care not only in the Lynchburg area but also in much of the central Virginia region. As an AAHA accredited facility, our hospital also strives for excellent patient care holding our standards to the highest level.


Our amazing long-term support staff includes over five licensed veterinary technicians, four technician students, and over thirty assistants and receptionists with decades of veterinary experience combined.


The ideal candidate would have a strong basic knowledge of both surgical and internal medicine, but a multitude of mentorship opportunities exist in areas such as advanced orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, and rehabilitation. As a veterinarian at Peaks View Animal Hospital, you would have access to a full service in house Idexx Laboratory, digital radiography including full hand held dental capabilities, ultrasound, endoscopy, laser therapy, and our newest under water treadmill. We offer both complex soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, chemotherapy, and provide excellent preventative and wellness care, including offering wellness plans to our clients. We have also recently completed a large hospital renovation to house our brand new rehabilitation facility and have two doctors certified in rehabilitation and one who is certified in acupuncture.

  • Robust Rehab program: underwater treadmill, acupuncture, therapeutic laser therapy, therapeutic ultrasound therapy, and therapeutic exercises. In addition, we have an in-house Companion regenerative medicine system to provide PRP and BMAC (stem cells). In 2018 we added a 5-18 MHz, 38mm Linear Ultrasound Probe (L64) to perform diagnostic musculoskeletal exams
