Ferry Farm Animal Clinic in Fredericksburg, Virginia is seeking a Veterinarian to join our team.

We are a busy 4 doctor/2LVT small animal practice that has been a stable part of the Fredericksburg community since the early 1980’s.   We are adding a 5th Veterinarian to our team due to growth. Our doctors and technicians have differing backgrounds and levels of experience, and we are looking to both teach and learn from each other.  We strive to provide high-quality medicine and surgery along with exceptional personalized client service and compassionate patient care.  We focus on individualized patient needs and strive to exceed the expectations of every client that we serve.

**Open to NEW GRAD candidates -- great Mentorship Program!!

  • We are a busy hospital and almost always have a full day of patients, which is approximately 20-25 patients at 15 or 30-minute blocks.  We prefer appointments but do see the occasional walk-in/urgent appointment and also offer drop-off appointments.  With our patient volumes, a new doctor will easily be able to build their clientele.

About the area:

Fredericksburg is perfectly situated between Richmond and Washington D.C.  Just a quick 45 minute drive to either area means a quick day or weekend trip to enjoy the amenities of the bigger cities.   However, there is still plenty to do in our growing Fredericksburg community!  Museums, battlefields, and architecture celebrate American History all the way back to the early settlers of America.  Outdoor activities, water fun on the Rappahannock River, craft breweries, antique shops, and unique restaurants are abundant.  https://www.virginia.org/cities/Fredericksburg/

What we are looking for:

We currently have a well-rounded team and therefore are open to different experience levels and interests.   We do prefer someone with experience that can jump right in and start seeing patients.  Surgery experience is preferred, but not required.
