Mt. Pleasant Veterinary Clinic, located in Chesapeake, Virginia, is actively seeking a GP, Small Animal Veterinarian to join our team!

We are a busy, small animal general practice with 3 veterinarians. We are located just 15 minutes over the North Carolina border in the heart of Great Bridge area of Chesapeake, VA with easy access to Virginia Beach. We have a great team of highly dedicated veterinarians and support staff who provide excellent medical care in a positive and thriving work environment.  We understand the importance of a comfortable work/life balance which is why we offer a flexible work schedule. The ideal candidate is a dedicated and conscientious veterinarian who provides high-quality medical care and exceptional client service. **$100K-$130K Base Salary (varies based on qualifications/experience)



Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Veterinarian to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for veterinary medicine and client education, excellent diagnostic and clinical skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient and client care. As a Veterinarian at Mt. Pleasant Veterinary Clinic, you will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

  • Fully integrated electronic medical records (Cornerstone)


Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive veterinary care for both wellness services and urgent care including examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with pet owners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and education.
  • Stay current with advancements in veterinary medicine and integrate new knowledge into practice.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.
  • Contribute to a positive and collaborative team atmosphere.


Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Valid state veterinary license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills with a commitment to high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in general practice is preferred, but recent graduates are welcome to apply.
