About Us: Prairie Animal Hospital has been a trusted staple in the Lake Country area of Waukesha County for over 40 years. Located in the picturesque North Prairie, Wisconsin, we offer primary care, referral services, and limited emergency care to a community of approximately 100,000 people. With a reputation for providing quality medicine, we’re excited to expand our team as we undergo a complete clinic remodel in 2025/2026.


Our Hospital Includes:

  • 3 well-equipped exam rooms, 2 treatment areas, and a spacious, bright surgery suite
  • Digital radiography and digital dental radiographs for advanced diagnostics
  • Updated dental machine and full in-house Idexx laboratory
  • Electronic medical records through Cornerstone (PIMS) for efficient management
  • A dedicated, long-term support staff
  • The latest technology in online booking and pharmacy services for our clients
  • A major clinic remodel coming soon, including a refreshed dental suite, lobby, new exam rooms, additional workspace, and more!

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in Wisconsin
  • Commitment to practicing high standards of medicine and ethics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to delegate effectively and collaborate with team members
  • Confidence in decision-making and time management
  • Professional and courteous demeanor with staff and clients
