Veterinary Anesthesia Technician – Small Animal (PT) or Mixed (FT)
Oakridge Equine Hospital – Edmond, OK

Oakridge Equine Hospital is seeking a highly experienced veterinary anesthesia technician to support our outpatient small animal imaging service. This role is primarily focused on small animal anesthesia, with the option to expand into a full-time, mixed-species position for candidates who also have solid equine experience.

About the Role

You will be responsible for independently managing anesthesia for outpatient small animal cases, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. For applicants with equine handling and anesthesia/technical experience, this position may be expanded to a full-time role that incorporates equine hospital support.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experienced in small animal anesthesia (required)
  • A CVT/LVT/RVT/VTS or a highly experienced veterinary assistant/tech
  • Able to work independently and communicate clearly in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Optional for full-time: Solid equine handling skills and familiarity with equine behavior
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to excellent patient care

Schedule

  • Part-time: Small animal anesthesia/imaging
  • Full-time option: Small animal + equine hospital support (dependent on equine experience)
  • Weekend or after-hours work may be required depending on final role structure
