Position Overview:

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting our veterinarians and technicians, ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible. From assisting with exams to maintaining a clean and safe environment, your daily work will have a direct impact on the health and happiness of the pets we treat.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Compassionate Care: Assist in the care of hospitalized pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
  • Support Veterinary Procedures: Help with restraining pets for exams, assist in taking x-rays, and collect necessary samples.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Environment: Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and the rest of the hospital spotless, creating a safe space for both patients and team members.
  • Monitor Patients: Observe and record physical signs of hospitalized pets, ensuring any changes are reported for timely care.
  • Daily Pet Care: Feed, bathe, and exercise pets as needed, providing them with the attention they deserve.
  • Organize and Stock Supplies: Keep the hospital and reception areas well-stocked with necessary supplies and materials.
  • Other Tasks as Needed: Be ready to support your teammates with any additional duties that arise.

What We’re Looking For:

  • ExperienceAt least 1 year of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related role is highly preferred.
  • Passion for Animals: You must genuinely care about the well-being of pets and be committed to providing them with the best care possible.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk large dogs (up to 130 lbs).
  • Team-Oriented: We value individuals who thrive in a collaborative, respectful environment and are ready to pitch in wherever needed.
