We are looking for an enthusiastic, results-oriented veterinary assistant

to join our growing team!

 

This is an expanded role that includes various administrative responsibilities. If you are someone who takes initiative, has strong customer-service skills and wants to be a part of a growing hospital, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate is looking for an opportunity to advance their career in veterinary medicine.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

· Ability to recognize and establish priorities and to respond efficiently and effectively under stress

· Excellent communication skills, computer and phone skills

· Strong understanding of patient management software (Avimark preferred)

· High level of professionalism

· Strong attention to detail

 

Summary of Responsibilities :

· Assist with customer-facing duties at the front reception while providing exceptional customer service to pet owners and assist with client communication

· Assist veterinarians with animal examinations & treatments

· Handle and restrain animals during procedures with care and compassion

· Maintain cleanliness and organization in examination rooms and treatment areas

· Assist with laboratory procedures and sample collection as needed

· Monitor and record vital signs and patient information accurately

 

Additional responsibilities may include, but not limited to :

-Basic patient care

-Surgical assistance

-Surgical cleaning

-Radiology assistance

-Medical record recording
