Pay Range: $16 – $21 per hour (based on skill level, experience, and relevant education)
Schedule: Part-Time or Full-Time (Saturday availability required)

We’re seeking a dependable, positive, and motivated team member who loves cats to join us in a hybrid Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary Assistant role. What You Will Do

Client Care & Front Desk Excellence

You are the first smile clients see and the reassuring voice they hear.

  • Welcome clients and their pets warmly and professionally
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and triage service needs
  • Manage email and hospital communications
  • Process payments for services, medications, and food
  • Maintain accurate client and service records in hospital software
  • Keep the reception area organized, clean, and inviting
  • Create a consistently positive and compassionate client experience

Clinical & Patient Support

You are a key part of delivering exceptional feline medicine.

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
  • Safely and humanely restrain feline patients
  • Obtain and record patient vital signs
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
  • Collect and properly label lab samples (blood, urine, feces)
  • Administer medications and treatments under supervision
  • Clean and disinfect exam rooms, kennels, and surgical spaces
  • Educate pet parents on post-treatment care and medications
  • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

What We are Looking For

  • Previous veterinary receptionist and/or assistant experience preferred (we are willing to train the right candidate)
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary/medical terminology
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional customer service mindset
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Compassion and patience when supporting stressed pet owners
  • A friendly, positive, team-oriented attitude

Schedule

  • Part-time or full-time opportunity
  • Saturday availability required
  • Hospital Hours:
    • Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
    • Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
