Mt Hood Pet Medical is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist. In this position, you will be expected to provide exceptional client service while maintaining a smooth and efficient flow of clients and patients through the veterinary clinic. Duties will be related to customer service, patient care and treatment and to assist other team members as needed.

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or medical field preferred
  • Basic veterinary medical knowledge, including products and services 
  • English language and written skills required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Telephone etiquette and client service excellence

Skills:

  • Animal handling and restraint
  • Client communication skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills including working in a team environment
  • Handling difficult situations including emergencies
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, E-mail, and AVImark experience preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and still attend to details
  • Payment handling and basic finance skills
