South Shore Animal Hospital is a collaborative and team-oriented veterinary practice where compassion meets exceptional care. We’re looking for a Veterinary Assistant who is as good with people as they are with pets. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a supportive team environment, loves learning new skills, and takes pride in providing excellent care and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely restrain patients of all sizes and temperaments
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments
  • Obtain patient histories and vital signs
  • Provide support at the reception desk as needed 
  • Participate in our practice-wide goal of becoming Fear Free Certified within the year

  • Reliability and some schedule flexibility
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job: work requires lifting, carrying, and restraining animals, walking and/or standing for extended periods, and working in a bent or squatting position when needed
