The Ideal Candidate:
- You are a Certified Veterinary technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant, with solid horse handling skills and a basic knowledge of equine behavior.
- A team player, you enjoy a fast-paced environment and can think critically on your feet
- You are able to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated, dependable individual with a strong work ethic and a love for horses
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
- Patient assessment and physical examinations
- Phlebotomy, catheter placement & management of fluid administration
- Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, set up and use.
- Assisting DVM's in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures
- Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures such as CBC/Chem/SAA/fecal testing/IGG/PRP
- Preparing, updating, and completing patient treatments and maintaining accurate medical records
Anticipated Schedule (TBD):
· Full-time and Part-time positions available
· Weekend and after-hours availability one weekend a month
· Our Clinic provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
