Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and caring Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal health and welfare, excellent communication skills, and a strong work ethic. You will support our veterinarians and technicians in daily clinical operations, patient care, and client services.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgical procedures

Safely restrain animals for exams and procedures

Prepare and maintain exam rooms and surgical areas

Administer medications and treatments as directed

Monitor and report changes in animal behavior or condition

Clean and sterilize instruments, kennels, and equipment

Feed, bathe, and exercise animals as needed

Educate pet owners on general animal care and post-treatment instructions

Maintain accurate medical records and documentation

Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, invoicing, and answering phones
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous experience in a veterinary setting preferred

Ability to handle animals of all sizes and temperaments
-
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Strong communication and organizational skills

Basic computer proficiency (experience with veterinary software a plus)

Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Work Schedule:

Full-time, 35–40 hours per week

Includes evenings and Saturdays

Compensation for this position is hourly $18.00-$22.00 depending on experience. This position is also eligible for quarterly bonuses.
