What You'll Do

As an experienced Veterinary Assistant, you'll play an active role in patient care by:

  • Assisting veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, and treatments
  • Collecting patient histories and obtaining vital signs
  • Safely restraining patients during examinations and procedures
  • Performing laboratory diagnostics and preparing samples
  • Taking digital radiographs
  • Assisting with hospitalized patient care and treatments
  • Preparing exam rooms and supporting daily appointments
  • Monitoring patients throughout the day and communicating with clients
  • Maintaining accurate medical records
  • Supporting surgery and dental procedures as your skills continue to develop

Our assistants work closely with one doctor throughout the day, becoming an important part of the patient experience from check-in through discharge.


What We're Looking For

  • Minimum one year of veterinary hospital experience required
  • Previous Veterinary Assistant experience required
  • Strong restraint and animal handling skills
  • Working knowledge of veterinary terminology, medications, and clinical procedures
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
  • Dependable attendance and strong communication skills
  • Passion for high-quality patient care and teamwork

Schedule

  • Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities available
  • Monday-Friday only
  • No weekends
  • Typical schedule:
    • Arrival time: 7:20 AM
    • Hospital hours: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM
    • One-hour lunch
  • Most team members work five days per week with one half day
