Veterinary Assistant

Evergreen Animal Hospital

Job Description

Veterinary Assistant

Evergreen Animal Hospital - A place to do good work, with people who take it seriously.

Are you a skilled veterinary professional looking for a team where you'll be valued for what you actually bring - your training, your judgment, and your care for patients - and where you can show up to a clear role with realistic expectations?

Evergreen Animal Hospital, proudly serving our community for over forty years, is looking to welcome a Veterinary Assistant to our team. As an AAHA-accredited hospital, we are committed to the highest standards of care and offer clients a full range of treatment options. Our clients, their pets, and the long-term relationships we build with them are at the heart of what we do.

Our team includes two DVMS with combined experience of over 40 years and one new graduate DVM we are excited to support and develop. Our LVT, assistant, and hospital management team bring a wealth of experience, grounded in ongoing education and training. We don't have everything figured out, and we're honest about that. We are in an active phase of growth, and fresh perspectives are genuinely welcome here.

What working here looks like:

  • A team with deep experience that is still learning - we recently completed a team-wide training and development survey and are building a structured training program based on those results. Your input will matter from the start.
  • One of our concrete goals is building a three person surgical team. If surgery and dentistry is something you want to grow into, there is a real path here.
  • We want to know what you are interested in doing with your career. We will tell you honestly whether that aligns with where we're headed - if it does, we will invest in helping you get there.
  • Colleagues who show up for each other and their patients - not because it's always easy, but because the work matters and the team makes it worthwhile.

What we offer:

  • $20.00-$23.00 per hour based on experience
  • A comprehensive benefits package to support your personal and professional wellbeing.
  • Stability and community roots - over forty years in this area and still growing.

We know the hiring process has a reputation for overpromising. We are trying to do it differently. We aim to be transparent about who we are, what we're looking for, and where we're headed - and we would rather have an honest conversation than a polished pitch.

What do you want to do with your career: Tell us what matters to you, and let's see if it's a match.

If we sound interesting to you, please submit your resume. Send it to EvergreenAH@nva.com.
