Job Description

Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician
Full-Time or Part-Time

We’re excited to share that we’ve welcomed new leadership and are continuing to grow! Our hospital is a 7-day GP/urgent care practice that provides a dynamic mix of routine care and more complex cases, giving you the opportunity to build and expand your skillset.

With new management, a renewed focus on culture, and additional doctors joining this summer, we’re building a team that prioritizes collaboration, mentorship, and work-life balance. We’re looking to add veterinary professionals of all experience levels who want to be part of a supportive, evolving environment where your growth truly matters.

Our team is large, experienced, and passionate about what we do—but just as importantly, we’re committed to creating a workplace where people enjoy coming to work. We emphasize open communication, respect, and community engagement, and we’re intentional about fostering a positive culture where every team member feels valued.

If you’re looking for a hospital that offers variety in cases, flexibility in scheduling, and a strong focus on development, this could be a great fit.

  • Strong Mentorship: Hands-on training and support across all experience levels
  • Advanced Medicine Exposure: Orthopedic, internal medicine, reproduction, and soft tissue surgeries
  • Cutting-Edge Services: Dental radiology, endoscopy, ultrasound, CT, and critical care cases
  • Growing Team: New doctors joining this summer + opportunities to grow alongside the hospital
  • Community-Focused: Active involvement and connection within the local community
  • Positive Culture: Inclusive, respectful environment with a strong team-first mindset

What You’ll Do

  • Assist with exams, treatments, and patient care
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab work
  • Support surgery (prep, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery)
  • Take radiographs (including dental)
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients
  • Communicate clearly with clients and team members
  • Maintain accurate medical records

What We’re Looking For

  • Veterinary Assistant or Technician experience preferred (open to all experience levels)
  • Strong technical and patient care skills (or willingness to learn and grow)
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, team-oriented mindset
  • Passion for high-quality medicine and client care

What We Offer

  • Compensation: $16.00–$22.00/hour, based on experience and credentials
  • Competitive pay + performance-based raises
  • Health insurance + dental, vision, life, disability
  • 401(k) with company match
  • HSA & FSA options
  • Free telehealth services
  • Employee Assistance Program (mental health, financial, legal)
  • CE opportunities + CE allowance
  • Mentorship and Penn Foster CVT sponsorship opportunities
  • Employee referral bonuses
  • Employee pet care discount
