Veterinary Cardiologist
Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty
Job Description
Austin Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center (AVES) is seeking full-time Veterinary Cardiologists that have an interest in providing Interventional Cardiology services at our multi-disciplinary facility in Austin, Texas.
AVES is a rapidly growing emergency and specialty hospital that will relocate from our existing facility into a 45,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in 2025. Our new facility will serve as our inpatient facility and will include our existing services (Internal Medicine, Interventional Radiology, Neurology and Neurosurgery, Medical Oncology, Surgery, Critical Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Anesthesiology, and 24/7/365 Emergency care). As we move into our new facility, we will add Radiation Oncology and Surgical Oncology to our services to develop an Integrated Oncology Service. We would love to add Interventional Cardiology to our hospital to help advance the level of medicine that we are able to provide to our patients and to the Austin community. AVES will then renovate the existing facility which is located within 2.5 miles of the new facility and create an Outpatient facility which will include Ophthalmology, Dentistry, Dermatology, and Rehabilitation and Acupuncture. Both facilities will remain under the same leadership to help ensure that we maintain our strong culture and our collaborative work environment. AVES is locally managed by Dr. Lindsay Vaughn, DVM, DACVECC who is a founding partner that helped developed the hospital 10 years ago in 2014-2015. AVES joined NVA Compassion-First in 2021 and is now part of the ETHOS network along with other best-in-class specialty and emergency hospitals.
The eligible candidate will have the opportunity to help develop a robust cardiology service and introduce Interventional Cardiology to the Austin community. Development of the new service would be supported by local leadership and the Ethos network through collaboration with other cardiologists to gain insight on best practices and collaborate on cases. We are seeking a Cardiologist to help provide outstanding care while contributing to collaborative medicine across all specialties within the hospital. Our strong culture is the foundation of our business which helps foster our collaborative and collegial environment. The qualified individual should be self-motivated, efficient, and have excellent multi-tasking abilities. We are seeking a Cardiologist who desires to provide the highest quality of medicine, top-notch client service, and a desire to establish long-lasting relationships within the veterinary community.
AVES strives to provide our doctors and support staff with work life balance and an inclusive and diverse work environment. This opportunity allows the candidate to live in a diverse city and work with a hospital that considers their entire staff as part of a family. AVES continuously strives to maintain a strong culture amongst the staff, management, and the referring community. Austin is a diverse city with plenty to do when you are away from the office. Whether you are into music, ballet, world-class museums, one-of-a-kind shopping, or beautiful outdoor spaces, Austin has it all.
