Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego - Sorrento Valley is looking for full-time board-certified or residency trained Cardiologist to join our team.


The Hospital: VSH is a 24-hour state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital. Specialties include Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Dermatology, Advanced Imaging and Emergency & Critical Care. All our Specialties are well supported by an outstanding group of dedicated and professional Technicians and Client Care staff.

Culture: Our highly skilled and motivated veterinary team works as a collaborative and collegial group to provide optimal care to our patients and their owners. Specialty interests, both in clinical practice and in research, are supported and encouraged. We have a very active teaching program for externs, rotating interns, specialty interns, and residents.


The Equipment: Our hospital has a 1.5T on-site MRI unit with a recently updated Siemens 1.5 T Avanto model , a 64-slice CT, two DR digital systems, Canon Aplio 700 ultrasound unit, Toshiba Aplio 300 ultrasound unit, Sonoscape S9 mobile ultrasound used for ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, Mindray Z6Vet portable ultrasound, a digital fluoroscopy unit, and GE 9800 C-Arm with neurovascular package, fully integrated PACS, nerve stimulators, a full complement of endoscopy, arthroscopy, laparoscopy, and on-site lab equipment. The six operating rooms, ICU and ER are equipped with multifunction bed-side monitors with capabilities for direct pressure monitoring and anesthetic gas and O2 measurement.
