Job Description

Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty is looking for a board certified Criticalist to join their growing team. 

Powers Pet Emergency and Specialty is an AAHA-accredited Specialty and 24-hour Emergency Veterinary Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Crticialist.  Our hospital is anchored by skilled Emergency doctors in addition to specialists in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Radiology.  We offer a collaborative team approach and access to the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options in southern Colorado.

Briefly, we have mechanical ventilators, CT/MRI, multiple oxygen kennels, high-flow O2 therapy, telemetry, ultrasounds, endoscopy, and laparoscopy.

Qualified candidates enjoy all aspects of Emergency and Critical Care and are comfortable managing critical patients, seeing cases in our busy ER, and working with all specialty services to ensure the best possible case management and patient outcomes.   

The Colorado Springs area is home to Pikes Peak, the inspiration for America the Beautiful, and the most spectacular mountain in the country. Garden of the Gods is gorgeous!  We are home to the US Olympic Training Center, Space Foundation Headquarters and Discovery Center, US Air Force Academy, and so many more special places making it a spectacular place to call home – not just vacation. For outdoor enthusiasts, we are only a quick two-hour drive away from world-class skiing, hiking, running, and biking trails right in our backyard. Our passion is preserving the human-animal bond. We take steps above and beyond to accomplish this by offering pet insurance, care credit, vet billing payment options, charitable DVM credit accounts to be used to assist clients at DVM discretion, and relationships with pet assistance funds for those facing financial challenges.  We offer discounts to our associates for pet treatments, procedures, and food and provide an annual stipend for use towards our teams’ personal pet general care.

Competitive salary: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, plus production based on experience.
