Veterinary Externship —Cedarwood Veterinary Clinic (Sante Fe, New Mexico)
🐾 Supportive Mentorship | Hands-On Learning | Up to $1,500 Travel Stipend

About Cedarwood:
Located within the heart of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Cedarwood Veterinary Clinic is a small, family-style, one doctor practice dedicated to serving our community. We are the oldest continuously active practice in the city with multi-generational clientele, and we’re located on one of the city’s busiest commercial thoroughfares. We have had the pleasure of being here for over 30 years and are looking to grow our well-established
veterinarian hospital! 

What You’ll Learn:
Externs will work side-by-side with dedicated DVM, Dr. Mark Terry and will receive hands on one-on-one mentorship in areas such as:

  • Conducting patient histories and physical exams
  • Developing diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Performing and assisting with surgical and dental procedures
  • Running in-house diagnostics and interpreting results
  • Providing inpatient care and client education
  • Practicing communication and teamwork with both staff and pet owners

Whether you're refining your clinical skills or building confidence in patient interaction, you’ll be empowered to take an active role in daily case management.

Program Overview:
📍 Location: Sante Fe, New Mexico
🕒 Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4weeks (based on clinic and student availability)-We can be super flexible!
🎓 Open to: 3rd and 4th year veterinary students
💵 Stipend: Up to $1,500 for eligible students in the clinical portion of their education
