Job Description

At Seven Hills Pet Clinic – Loveland, we have 5 very experienced DVMs and a higher tech-to-doctor ratio for support. We enjoy a busy and energetic schedule. We have same day emergency and urgent care appointments, orthopedic specialty, three FT exotic vets, plus two mixed animal veterinarians. We see haul-in goats, sheep, pigs, and more. Our state-of-the-art facility is the winner of the Whamm Milford Chamber award for Best Vet two years in a row. We have in house Idexx, ultrasound, digital x-ray, sedivue, surgical laser, and therapy laser. 

We are an award-winning, high-volume small animal practice with LOTS of licensed veterinary technicians to support students. The technicians read cytologies, run I.H. Idexx BW machines, sedivue, and we have a brand new ultrasound, digital radiography. We never turn any sick pet away no matter how busy we are so we see A LOT of fun different things and everyone stays busy!  
 
Students will work closely with the supervising Associate Veterinarians to gain experience in gathering patient histories, performing physical exams, creation of treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry services, observing/assisting or performing surgical procedures, and medical management of patients. In addition to practicing their clinical skills, student externs will have the opportunity to practice their communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients.  
 
Most externship experiences range from two to eight weeks depending on student and hospital schedules. Externships at Seven Hills Pet Clinic are designed for 3rd and 4th year students.
