Veterinary Externship — Longwood Animal Hospital (Cypress, TX)

About the Clinic:
At Longwood Animal Hospital and Pet Resort, we believe great medicine starts with great collaboration. Our team of four experienced DVMs regularly consult and support one another on cases, and they’re genuinely passionate about teaching and mentoring the next generation of veterinarians. Externship Highlights:
As an extern, you’ll gain practical, real-world experience while working side-by-side with our veterinarians and staff in a supportive, high-functioning environment. Your hands-on training will include:

  • Gathering patient histories and conducting physical exams

  • Creating treatment and diagnostic plans

  • Participating in dentistry, imaging, and lab work

  • Observing and assisting in surgical procedures

  • Medical management of patients

  • Practicing client communication and team collaboration

**You won’t be on the sidelines—**you’ll be learning by doing.

Program Details:
📍 Location: Cypress, TX (Northwest Houston area)
🕒 Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks, depending on student/hospital availability
🎓 Open to: veterinary students
💵 Stipend: Up to $1,000 for students in their clinical year
