About the Clinic:
Century Animal Hospital is an AAHA-accredited small animal hospital located in Austin, Texas, known for practicing gold-standard veterinary medicine in a supportive, tight-knit environment. Our team offers a full range of services including routine and advanced surgery, dentistry, emergency care, and hospitalization. As a smaller clinic with a collaborative culture, we value strong mentorship and work-life balanceโ€”for both our team and externs.

Externship Experience Includes:
Externs will work directly with experienced DVMs and have the opportunity to:

  • Conduct physical exams and obtain thorough patient histories

  • Assist with and interpret diagnostic testing

  • Create treatment plans and participate in case discussions

  • Observe, assist, or perform surgical and dental procedures (as appropriate)

  • Participate in emergency case triage and care

  • Practice client communication and teamwork with staff

Our goal is to provide each extern with a well-rounded clinical experience in both routine and urgent care cases, supported by engaged mentorship and real case exposure.

Program Details:
