Veterinary Student Externship – Pet Medical Center of Katy

At Pet Medical Center of Katy, our externship program offers an immersive, hands-on experience in a supportive, high-quality veterinary practice. What to Expect:
Externs at Pet Medical Center of Katy will be integrated into our day-to-day operations and actively involved in patient care. You’ll work closely with experienced veterinarians and our compassionate support team to build confidence in key clinical skills while learning how a thriving practice runs behind the scenes.

Externship Opportunities Include:

  • Conducting physical exams and collecting patient histories

  • Developing diagnostic and treatment plans

  • Participating in dentistry and soft tissue surgeries (based on experience)

  • Gaining hands-on experience in clinical procedures and case management

  • Enhancing client communication and team collaboration skills

Program Details:
📍 Location: Pet Medical Center of Katy
🕒 Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 weeks, depending on availability
🎓 Eligibility: Open to 3rd, and 4th year veterinary students
💰 Travel/Living Stipend: Available for students in the clinical portion of their education
