About the Clinic:
Located in the vibrant community of Katy, TX, Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital is a well-established small animal practice with a dedicated team of support staff and experienced DVMs. Our doctors have been with the practice for years and each brings a unique strength to the team—from surgery and internal medicine to behavior and preventive care. We’re proud of our collaborative culture, strong mentorship, and the fun we bring to high-quality patient care.

Externship Experience Includes:
Externs will work closely with our associate veterinarians and team members to gain valuable, real-world experience in:

  • Taking patient histories and performing physical exams

  • Developing diagnostic and treatment plans

  • Assisting with (or performing) surgical and dental procedures

  • Participating in internal medicine, wellness, and behavioral case workups

  • Practicing communication skills with both clients and the veterinary team

You won’t just shadow—you’ll be actively engaged in the day-to-day clinical work, with mentorship tailored to your interests and experience level.

Program Details:
📍 Location: Katy, TX (Greater Houston area)
🕒 Duration: minimum 2 weeks, up to 4weeks (flexible based on student/hospital schedules)
🎓 Open to: veterinary students
💵 Stipend: Up to $2,000 available for students in the clinical phase
🏥 Practice Focus: Small animal general medicine, surgery, dentistry, behavior
