The Opportunity

As Hospital Manager, you will be an essential part of the hospital leadership team, working closely with the Managing Veterinarian to ensure the efficient, compliant, and profitable operation of the hospital. You’ll oversee day-to-day operations while cultivating a positive hospital culture focused on exceptional patient care and outstanding client experiences.

This role is highly visible and hands-on, requiring regular on-site presence to support staff, collaborate with leadership, and engage with clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete ownership of P&L and accountability for hospital performance

  • Collaborate with regional leadership to identify trends and forecast hospital needs

  • Manage accounts receivable

  • Oversee hospital inventory and control facility and administrative costs

  • Manage payroll and develop hospital schedules while controlling labor costs

  • Champion change by identifying, documenting, and sharing best practices

  • Lead and develop the hospital team to improve workflows across client service, operations, and administration

  • Implement new technologies and initiatives to improve efficiency and team effectiveness

  • Establish, model, and drive a positive, inclusive hospital culture

  • Track and maintain licensure compliance for all DVMs

  • Provide coaching, feedback, and handle difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy

  • Consistently demonstrate and reinforce excellent client service standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred

  • 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role with customer service responsibility

  • Experience in a hospital, retail, or service-based environment with increasing responsibility is a plus

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
