Job Description

1-year ECC internship program, appropriate for new graduates considering a staff ER position or ECC residency. Or general practitioners, urgent care, and ER doctors looking to refine their skills, explore critical care, and collaborate in specialty care. 

 

Internship Highlights

  • 2 hrs of weekly seminars/ week mid- September- June comprised of text chapter review, journal club, Benchmark (case-based ECC questions) reviewed monthly, specialties seminars/ discussions- EKG review, neurology, internal medicine, and surgery (wound management.
  • Monthly intern lead M&M presentations
  • Intern poster presentation and all staff presentations during the year
  • Wet lab reviewing ER procedures: enucleation, thoracostomy tube placement, tracheostomy, open chest CPR, coccygeal blocks
  • Monthly 1-1 mentorship meetings with case review
