Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialist

Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty

Job Description

At Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty, we’ve built a culture where Veterinary Internal Medicine Specialists can truly thrive. Our hospital is rooted in four core values—Compassion, Collaboration, Education, and Integrity—which we strive to embody in every patient interaction, clinical decision, and team connection.

Our Internal Medicine team benefits from the unique strength of a multi-specialty environment, where seven departments—Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Radiology, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Emergency/Critical Care—work together under one roof. This integrated structure creates seamless opportunities for cross-departmental case collaboration and shared learning. Our morning case rounds and hallway consults with colleagues from other specialties elevate the quality of care and support truly comprehensive and collaborative medicine—no phone calls, paperwork, or delays needed.

As a teaching hospital, we’re passionate about advancing the future of our field. Internists here have opportunities to mentor new doctors as well as contribute to in-house continuing education efforts. Whether you enjoy sharing your expertise or learning from others, our hospital fosters an environment where teaching and learning are integral to daily life.

Wellness matters here. We’ve implemented a proactive Wellness Program and are proud to have a full-time, on-site veterinary social worker who supports both team members and clients. We recognize the unique emotional demands of veterinary medicine and prioritize mental health as a key part of our practice.

We also take time to celebrate and connect as a team. Our Employee Reward Program offers personalized recognition for exceptional contributions, and our monthly engagement activities help us honor our diverse backgrounds, encourage personal and professional growth, and just have fun together.

We’re proud to offer a competitive salary range of $200,000 to $250,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package and a 3-day work week, designed to support your long-term success and well-being.

Our goal is to support every clinician with the tools, environment, and culture they need to flourish—both professionally and personally.
