Job Description

Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital is looking to add a third board certified or board-eligible Medical Oncologist to our well-established referral hospital in Massachusetts.


The oncology service is a high-volume, dynamic department.  We are looking to add a full-time oncologist to our vibrant and growing department that supports the needs of other services in the hospital as well as the needs of our referring veterinarians through client referrals, phone consultations and continuing education seminars. We also collaborate with Ethos Discovery, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to pursuing scientific innovation and is led by Dr. Chand Khanna. This partnership allows us to offer cutting edge clinical trials to our patients.


Our Hospital

Our 36,000 square foot hospital, located 11 miles north of Boston, is home to one of the premier level 1 emergency and specialty centers in New England. Our Staff

Our doctors are supported by an amazing group of technicians, well- trained client care coordinators and a supportive management team. In addition to Oncology, we offer specialty care in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, and Critical Care. The hospital is well supported by six board certified critical care specialists. Additionally, our busy emergency department consists of internship-trained veterinarians, who provide high quality care 24-hours per day. In addition to starting the oncology internship, we offer house officer training programs in surgery, neurology, and diagnostic imaging. The hospital is assisted by a complete on-site diagnostic laboratory with a full-time clinical pathologist and an on-site compounding pharmacy. Lastly, the hospital employs a social worker who assists both staff and clients on a full-time basis.

The hospital is supported by comprehensive surgical facilities as well as a dedicated ICU department. We are a well-equipped facility that includes:

  • 1.5 tesla Philips MRI
  • 64 slice Toshiba CT scanner
  • Two digital radiography suites
  • Three ultrasound machines- GE E95, Phillips affinity, Phillips Epiq
  • A fluoroscopy unit OEC 9800
  • One point of care ultrasound machine- Piloter Vet
  • Mechanical ventilation
  • Hemodialysis, CCRT, plasmapheresis
  • Phillips ECG
  • Full endoscopy capabilities
  • Interventional radiology capabilities
