Join our talented, hardworking team in beautiful North Bay. We are looking for a compassionate, hardworking and reliable veterinary receptionist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing an exceptional client experience by demonstrating quality service, respect and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities:
- Efficiently and accurately perform clerical and reception duties including client and patient intake and discharge, patient scheduling, answering questions, and maintaining front office and exam room flow
-Schedule appointments appropriately based on patient condition and appointment calendar
-Provide top notch client care services both in person and over the phone
- Maintain communication between clients and veterinary care team
- Assist with client education by reiterating medical recommendations on general pet care and post-treatment instructions
- Routinely contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the practice
- Accurately perform daily invoicing, cash management, and reconciliation
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic is preferred and knowledge of Avimark is an asset, however, not mandatory.
- Must be a self-starter, able to multi task and be a team player.
- Accurate record keeping in accordance with hospital protocols
- Positive attitude and desire to support both pets and people alike
- Strong communication and customer service skills are required to interact effectively with both clients and team members
- Compassion and patience when handling animals and interacting with pet owners
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Is experienced in the teamwork approach and works well with all levels of hospital team members

Schedule:
Approximately 20-30 hours per week
