Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional and timely client service with a focus on creating a welcoming environment for both pets and owners.
  • Greet clients and manage incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Process pet admissions, discharges, invoicing, and prescriptions while ensuring accuracy and clarity.
  • Answer medical inquiries, screen service requests, and schedule appointments, always striving to meet clients’ needs with a personalized touch.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate client records and service data in our business software.
  • Assist with medication administration, pet restraint, and prescriptions.
  • Keep clinic areas—including pharmacy, treatment, and surgery spaces—well-stocked, organized, and welcoming.
  • Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, including laundry and sterilization of surgical equipment.
  • Ensure proper pet identification and maintain clean cages and runs.

Experience & Skills:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on delivering an exceptional client experience.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and empathy for both animals and their owners.
  • Proficient in using POS software (AVImark preferred), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of hospital staff.
