Bracebridge Animal Hospital, located in the beautiful town of Bracebridge, Ontario—surrounded by scenic forests and stunning lakes— is looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist to join our AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital. We are committed to delivering exceptional care to dogs, cats, exotics, and small mammals, utilizing advanced medical technology and maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional, timely client service with a focus on creating a welcoming and friendly environment for both pets and owners.
- Greet clients and manage incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
- Process pet admissions, discharges, invoicing, and prescriptions with accuracy and clarity.
- Answer medical inquiries, screen service requests, and schedule appointments, always striving to meet clients’ needs with a personalized touch.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and email correspondence.
- Maintain accurate client records and service data in our business software.
- Assist with medication administration, pet restraint, and prescriptions.
- Keep clinic areas—including pharmacy, treatment, and surgery spaces—well-stocked, organized, and inviting.
- Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties, including laundry and sterilization of surgical equipment.
- Ensure proper pet identification and maintain clean cages and runs.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic.
- Strong communication skills, focused on delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Ability to manage stressful situations with professionalism and empathy for both animals and their owners.
- Proficiency in using POS software (AVImark preferred), Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of hospital staff.
