VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST
Job Summary:
Like all team members, the Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring that day-to-day operation of the hospital is efficient and provides an optimal experience for our patients, and clients. Receptionists must possess strong organizational skills, excellent telephone and in-person communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Receptionists must have compassion for animals and their owners and understand the stress that patients and clients endure. The position requires patience and a pleasant disposition, with attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time and Part-time shifts available.
Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
Schedule: 10 hour shift, Monday-Friday. 1-2 Saturdays per month.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule during weekdays and two Saturdays per month as needed. We are open from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm Monday – Friday. Saturday 8:00am – 2:30 pm. Closed on Sundays.

Job Description:
· Greet clients with a smile
· Answer phone calls and screen for needs, respond to client inquiries.
· Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
· Handles text and email communications
· Maintain a clean and welcoming front desk and lobby area
· Documents and maintains client information
· Process payments
· Assist with basic administrative tasks and daily organization
- Participate in the training of new staff members and general team communication
Qualifications:
- High school diploma is a requirement.
- Must have at least 1 year's previous experience working in a similar role
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be compassionate and sympathetic and be able to maintain a professional attitude and demeanor during emotional and stressful situations.
- Must have exceptional telephone and computer skills.
- Must be a team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments, offer creative ideas, and accept change.
