Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animal care and strong organizational skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
  • Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
  • Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including preparing examination rooms.
  • Provide information to clients about pet care, medications, and follow-up treatments.
  • Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of animal handling and animal care practices.
  • Proficient computer skills, especially with Veterinary Software is preferred..
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and anatomy preferred.
  • Experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
