Job Description
Cole Park Veterinary Hospital is a well-established, AAHA accredited, small animal practice in Chapel Hill, NC. We are looking for a receptionist to join our team. Our hospital boasts an enjoyable working environment with great leadership and excellent support staff. This is a full-time position, weekends and holidays are required. Applicants must be a team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, be detail-oriented, and be committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients and their pets. Priority will be given to applicants with experience working in a veterinary hospital.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a positive first impression
- Schedule appointments, manage the appointment calendar, and confirm appointments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and patient records, including medical history and vaccination records.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay messages to appropriate staff members.
- Process payments for services rendered, including handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
- Provide clients with information about pet care, vaccinations, and other services offered by the hospital.
- Assist veterinary staff with various tasks, such as data entry and maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Help with the inventory of office supplies, reordering as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, including practice management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Comfortable interacting with animals of all types and sizes.
