Eglinton Veterinary Facilities is a compassionate, community-focused animal hospital dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and their families. Our team is made up of passionate professionals who value collaboration, kindness, and continuous learning. We are proud to serve a diverse clientele and are seeking a bilingual Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist to help us better support our Spanish-speaking community.

Position Overview:
We are looking for a friendly, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both animals and people. This hybrid role combines client service and patient care, offering variety and meaningful impact every day.

Key Responsibilities:
Reception Duties:

  • Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalism
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage email communications
  • Maintain accurate medical records and client information
  • Process payments and invoices
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients, including Spanish-speaking families

Veterinary Assistant Duties:

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and procedures
  • Safely restrain animals for treatments and diagnostics
  • Clean and prepare exam rooms and surgical areas
  • Administer medications and provide post-operative care under supervision
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and support their comfort and well-being

Qualifications:

  • Fluent in both English and Spanish (spoken and written)
  • Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Passion for animals and commitment to their care
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends
