Veterinary Student Summer Job

Animal Emergency Hospital (Bel Air, MD)

Job Description

Hello and thank you for your interest in student job opportunities at Animal Emergency Hospital. Our hospital has multiple employment opportunities for current veterinary students. Our hospital looks for ways to set up DVM students up for long-term success in their careers. That is why we have created a special role for DVM students within our practice to allow them to practice important medical record-keeping and client communication skills alongside an experienced ER DVM.   In this position as a scribe, students are paired with a doctor to see incoming patients. During the time you spend in this position, you are not only well paid, but you are helping doctors work through cases, learning effective client communication, reviewing and learning to interpret diagnostic testing, and learning medical record keeping. Our previous scribes have stated that this position not only helped them with studying for and passing their boards, but also gave them a head start and confidence in their client & recordkeeping skills.  Looking to build your emergency technical skillsets instead? We have also have a full technician mentorship program and summer technician positions open!  Feel free to reach out to me if you would like further information about Animal Emergency Hospital student job opportunities.

A summer job opportunity at an NVA hospital will give veterinary students the unique opportunity to understand the day-to-day operations of an NVA practice while earning money. At our hospital, you will find high-quality patient care and client services. We are passionate about advancing the profession of veterinary medicine and giving animals the individualized care they need.
