The Ideal Candidate:
- You are a Certified Veterinary technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant, with solid understanding and experience in small animal anesthesia.
- A team player, you enjoy a fast-paced environment and can think critically on your feet
- You are able to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Motivated, dependable individual with a strong work ethic and a love for animals
- Must be able to lift 40lbs
You possess clinical skills and experience that might include (but are not limited to):
- Patient assessment and physical examinations
- Phlebotomy, catheter placement & management of fluid administration
- Highly capable surgical and procedural anesthesia nurse
- Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, set up and use.
- Assisting DVM's in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures
- Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures such as CBC/Chem/SAA/fecal testing/IGG/PRP
- Preparing, updating, and completing patient treatments and maintaining accurate medical records
