Blauner, Buchholz and Associates is an ambulatory equine practice serving Montgomery, Bucks, and Chester counties in Pennsylvania. Each veterinarian brings a unique area of expertise, ranging from lameness evaluation and diagnosis, pre-purchase examinations, ophthalmology, chiropractic and acupuncture, ultrasound, emergency care, reproductive medicine, dentistry, and preventative medicine. The Ideal Candidate:

  • You are a Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of PA, or you can transfer your credentials from another state within 90 days of start (New grads preparing for the VTNE are welcome to apply!)
  • You possess solid horse handling skills and a basic knowledge of equine behavior.
  • You are Motivated, dependable, and organized, have a strong work ethic and a love for equine athletes and the people they come with!
  • You are comfortable longeing and jogging horses in hand and are familiar with equine restraint techniques for different procedures.
  • You understand the importance of clear & effective communication among clients and team members.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 40+lbs
  • You possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to):
    • Patient assessment and physical examinations
    • Assisting DVMs in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures
    • Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, the set up and use of equipment, and knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique
      • Comfort and skill with a gastroscope would be a plus!
    • Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures
    • Preparing, updating, and completing patient treatments and maintaining accurate medical records

Anticipated Schedule:
  • Monday – Friday
  • Approximately 4, 10-hour shifts per week (may vary seasonally)
