The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (NIVES) is a 24-hour referral and critical care hospital located in Fort Wayne, IN. NIVES provides specialized care in small animal Surgery, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Critical Care Services. We serve the clients of NE Indiana, SE Michigan, & SW Ohio.
Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, and have strong multi-tasking skills. Registered Veterinary Technician/Assistant duties include but are not limited to: assisting DVMs, restraint, advanced CPR training, intensive care nursing, anesthesia monitoring, blood draws, administering medications, radiology, and client communication/patient discharge. Candidates must be interested in caring for patients with complex medical needs.
Based Educational Requirements: RVT - High School Diploma or GED, VTNE, and state license.
Assistant - High School Diploma or GED, veterinary experience ideal.
