The Ideal Candidate:

·         You are a Certified Veterinary technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant, with solid horse handling skills and a basic knowledge of equine behavior. 

·         A team player, you enjoy a fast-paced environment and can think critically on your feet

·         You are able to remain composed in stressful and emotional situations

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Motivated, dependable individual with a strong work ethic and a love for horses

·         Must be able to lift 40lbs

·         You possess clinical skills and experience that might include (but are not limited to):

o   Patient assessment and physical examinations

o   Phlebotomy, catheter placement & management of fluid administration

o   Utilizing different modalities of imaging for patient assessment, set up and use.

o   Assisting DVM's in patient diagnostics, treatment, and procedures

o   Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures such as CBC/Chem/SAA/fecal testing/IGG/PRP

o   Preparing, updating, and completing patient treatments and maintaining accurate medical records

 

Anticipated Schedule (TBD):

·         Full-time and Part-time positions available

·         Weekend and after-hours availability one weekend a month

·         Our Clinic provides care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

 

 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

 

·         Salary is commensurate with experience and credentials; minimum starting wage $12/hr.
