San Antonio Equine Hospital is a full-service equine practice providing quality veterinary care to horses in the greater San Antonio region. Our technicians are an essential part of our team, supporting doctors in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service.

The Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work hands-on with horses in both hospital and ambulatory settings. You’ll be directly involved in patient care, assist with advanced diagnostics and treatments, and contribute to a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, procedures, and treatments (in-hospital and on-farm).
  • Monitor and care for hospitalized patients.
  • Safely handle and restrain horses of varying ages and temperaments.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and support effective client communication.
  • Ensure proper cleaning, biosecurity, and restocking of equipment and supplies.

What We’re Looking For

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) preferred; experienced veterinary assistants considered.
  • Strong horsemanship skills, including safe handling, restraint, and recognition of common equine conditions.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and client service skills.
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
