Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital is a 24-hour specialty and emergency animal hospital located in the heart of Hollywood, California. MASH offers specialty services in neurology, surgery, emergency and critical care, internal medicine, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, nutrition, dermatology, and dentistry and is open 24/7 for emergencies.

 

Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital seeks a highly motivated and experienced Veterinary Supervisor in Internal Medicine to join our team. As a Veterinary Supervisor in Internal Medicine, you will supervise and lead a team of licensed veterinary technicians and assistants in providing exceptional care to our patients in the Internal Medicine department. 

 

Responsibilities: 

-Supervise and train licensed veterinary technicians and assistants in the Internal Medicine department. 

-Assist in managing the daily operations of the Internal Medicine department.

- Provide high-quality medical care to patients in the Internal Medicine department. 

- Work closely with the Internal Medicine team to develop and implement treatment plans. 

- Communicate effectively with clients and referring veterinarians

 - Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.

- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities. 

- Assist in hiring and performance evaluations of team members. 

 

Qualifications: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Technology - Licensed to practice as a Veterinary Technician in the state of California - Minimum of 3 years of experience in Internal Medicine - Strong leadership and communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively with a team - Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills - Experience with electronic medical records and medical software Benefits: - Competitive Wage - Health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Continuing education allowance - Paid time off and holidays - Employee discounts on pet care services

 

  • The base hourly range for this full-time position is $35 - $40. Our salary ranges are primarily determined by role, level, and location. The range provided for each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
