*TEMPORARY POSITION*
JOB SUMMARY
In this high-paced role, the veterinary technician will prioritize high-volume appointments, rapid triage, anesthesia monitoring, and technical procedures, including IV catheter placement and diagnostics. Strong multitasking skills are essential to manage daily operations, client communication, and surgical assistance while consistently ensuring safety and accuracy.
QUALIFCATIONS
· 2 years+ working as a veterinary technician.
· High School Diploma or G.E.D
· Must have experience with dental cleanings, dental radiographs, and surgical anesthesia.
· Effectively use low stress patient handling techniques and safely control aggressive animals.
· Superior blood collection and IV catheter placement skills.
· Excellent communication skills with doctors, clients and team members.
· Detailed oriented person that can make good decisions, respond quickly.
· Must have basic computer knowledge 60-80 WPM, and scanning records. Avimark a plus!
· Pass background screen and drug test.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Must be able to lift up 40 pounds and assist in lifting over 60 pounds.
· Able to be active: sitting, walking, standing for 8 hours or more a day.
