Job Description
Our clinic is located on the North Shore, minutes either side of the mountains and ocean. Nestled between a sushi restaurant and produce store, the plaza also has everything from groceries, to lunch to shopping. The team here are welcoming, willing to teach, and go above and beyond for patient care. The team members are Fear Free certified too! We are one of two clinics on the North Shore who offer laparoscopic surgery and have a state of the Ultrasound machine. Our kitchen is always stocked with snacks and goodies and we do monthly lunch meetings that range from protocols, level setting, training, mindfulness and more.
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at in to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year ——can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
