Job Description
We have a diverse and unique team. We are passionate about learning/training with four current team members enrolled in the PENN Foster program and a new Grad DVM on the team. We also host DVM students for practicum placements. We also know how to laugh and all have a dark sense of humour which gets us through even the most difficult of days.
NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at in to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year ——can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
