Westview Veterinary Hospital is a well-established and fast-paced small animal practice, proud to be AAHA accredited and equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, full in-house labs, endoscopy, and surgical capabilities including orthopedics. Our team includes five veterinarians, six RVTs, and a fantastic group of support staff. Together, we’re passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care—and we make sure our RVTs play a central role in everything we do.

 

Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs to develop your clinical skills in patient care, including:

 

  • Surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring
  • Assisting in general and orthopedic surgeries
  • Dental cleanings and dental radiographs
  • Wound care and fluid therapy
  • Radiology and laboratory procedures
  • Emergency care
  • Patient nursing and client education

 

NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program at Westview Veterinary Hospital offers:

 

  • Real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment
  • Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals
  • A stipend of $750 offered to eligible students (current final-year students enrolled in an CVMA accredited VT program and completing their final practicum)
  • On-site accommodations (inquire regarding availability)
