Students can expect to be immersed in a real-life learning environment, surrounded by fellow RVTs, DVMs and Support Staff with a range of experiences. The team at BAH takes a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine and involves everyone in the care and treatment of all animals, making it a wonderful opportunity to learn from each other. NVA Canada’s VT Practicum Program offers final-year veterinary technician students the chance to gain real-world experience in a supportive, dynamic environment. Work alongside experienced veterinarians and RVTs at in to develop your clinical skills in patient care, laboratory procedures, anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology and more. Enhance your communication abilities with medical teams and clients, preparing you for a successful career as an RVT. Practicums range from two to eight weeks, fitting your schedule and career goals. Eligible students—those enrolled in an accredited VT program in Canada and completing their final practicum in their final year ——can receive a stipend to help with travel expenses, allowing you to focus on learning without financial worries.
