Colony Animal Clinic is a progressive, fast-paced, veterinary hospital located in beautiful downtown Fairhope, Alabama. We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team of animal care professionals. Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain and record patient histories accurately
  • Communicate and educate pet owners about preventative care, treatment plans, and wellness services
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as prescribed
  • Perform laboratory testing, including specimen collection and analysis
  • Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgical preparation, and dental cleanings
  • Take digital radiographs and maintain sterile equipment
  • Place IV catheters and assist veterinarians during procedures
  • Utilize safe animal handling techniques
  • Enter medical data into practice management software
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient clinic operations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
  • Previous veterinary clinic experience required
  • Ability to work 10-hour shifts and lift 50 lbs
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of veterinary terminology
  • Excellent communication skills

Schedule & Benefits

  • Full-time or Part-time 
  • Clinic hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
  • Weekend/holiday rotation for boarding and hospitalized patient care
